Favorite memory of high school-  I remember in GJ Leblanc's class he brought out that dreadful spider and let it crawl on my desk. The girl next to me fainted! That was the 3rd day of highschool, grade 10!!

Favorite memory of high school-  Most memoriable moment at YCMHS was when I receieved an award in Grade 11 for "Most Improved Grade 11 Student". Totally unexpected! I was embarassed to go up on stage to go get the award. I mean, I never even heard my name being called. Mr. Demille said my name twice... OOPS! It felt good though, to have the applause from my friends, (whom were screaming their heads of when I got it). Ha Ha Ha!! It boosted my confidence incrediablly. It made me want to do better the next year.....and I did!! :o) Wonder if those awards are still being given out today??

Information that I would like to share-  I returned to YCMHS in the fall of 1991 to up grade some marks to get accepted to NSIT to take Medical Laboratory Technology where I did and graduated in 1994. I always joke about it but that's where I lost all my hair and went bald. That was one hard course!!! I got my diploma and certificate only to come out and find no jobs!! Bad time for Lab Techs..  Anyway I returned to I.M.O Foods Ltd. where I am presently working and have finished a course through Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 4th class Stationary Engineer. I quess I'm gonna be a boiler man..  I have two kids with my beautiful soul mate Christine. Brandon is 5 and Alexis is 3..They are a handful but I wouldn't have it any other way!! and remember.....when in trouble, hide under some coats in the lobby and hope for the best... Homer Simpson..

Favorite memory of high school- I had my son in grade 12 and brought him to school with me just after he was a week old so I could pick up some books to complete work at home. There were a bunch of my girl friends in the hallway and they stopped me with the usual "oh, he is so sweet, can I hold him? etc" That is when Mr. Lesser came down the hall and said "Oh...let me seeeee tooo!". It really surprised me as you don't normally expect this from a man...especially Mr. Lesser. That is my favorite YCMHS memory...I have many but that is my favorite.

Information that I would like to share-  I moved away from Yarmouth after 2 years at Acadia because there simpy was nothing left for me to do there. I finished my BSc. in geology at Acadia in 1996 and headed west. I finished my MSC in Earth and Ocean Sciences from UVIC in 1998. After school, I worked in diamond exploration in the high arctic and overseas for a couple of years then took a job as a research scientist with a semiconductor crystal growth company, Redlen Technologies, in 2000. I remain with Redlen today but am also completing my PhD in experimental petrology at UVIC. I am married to a fablous woman who I met dragonboating here in Victoria. Outside of work, I am into competitive outrigger paddling, hiking, boating and riding my bike in the Sooke Hills.

Favorite memory of high school-  The whole three years were great,but the thing I remember the most is the funny feeling I had in my stomach as we sat in the gym during graduation. I knew in a few short minutes; oops I forgot about lucy hayes' valadictorian speech;...in a few short hours we would walk out of the school and the games were over and the real world starts.

Information that I would like to share-  Life for me, like most of you, is busy. I decided to go back to get my Nursing Degree from U of C with three children at home under three. I graduated with my Bachelor or Nursing from UofC and am now working in the peadiatric and Maternity units of the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital.... I have been married for just over eight years now to Bernard Boudreau (from Belville) and love living out west. I don't make it haome as much as I'd like, though. Favorite memory of high school-  Hanging out at the main hall being the shadow of "cool" next to my brother Chris Thomas and having "perfect Pete" gather up all his muster and look tough enough to scare us into going back to class. Which for me was always an experience knowing that my main class was the office. Hummmmm!! I must have been a handful of trouble!

Jackie Patten, saw her years ago and then i got travelling and life go in the way...i lost that little peice of paper we wrote contact info on....ooops! Information that I would like to share-  I remember every time i would see then Mrs.Churchill she was so little i would give her a hug and she was never a teacher i had for anything.
The other person that gave me mentoring for the future was ms.Wilson the guidance councillor. Man, she put up with alot of "i Don't know" from me when she tried to help me figure out what i wanted to do with my life after all the computer tests said i would be a painter! I always remember Mrs. Churchill taught me a lesson in life that eventually became my life mission and career. "Take time for others" Although i did not finish Yarmouth High i did finish my grade 12, then went on to go to Acadia Univeristy for a year to study English and Sociology. Then proceeded to find my spiritual destiny. I became the recipient of the only Canadian scholarship to a bible univeristy in Florida. Then went to another bible College Graduated both, then became a researcher for human developement and founded a non-profit organization which deals in social outreach. I get invited into different denominations and religious churches and schools to talk about "being real". I am currently working on obtaining my phD in theology and phsycology. Due to the work load it's a slow process getting there though. I love what i do and i love the daily challenge of pushing myself beyond what Doctors, specialists have said i could never do...live. I am an advocate for mental health and persons with disabilites. I have tourretts, so it has become a passion to help those who feel tired in life i guess that's about it.
