Information that I would like to share-  Graduated with the final class from Nova Scotia Teachers College in 1997, with a Bachelor Of Education with Honors. Have been teaching in Yarmouth for 9 years, most often and most memorably at Arcadia in Grade 5 for three years and in Grade 6. Taught Grade 9 English at Maple Grove two different years. It's very interesting to be the teacher where you used to be the student. I also work for an uncle in my spare time at his real-estate company, something I find fun and interesting.

Information that I would like to share - After graduation I moved to St. john's, Newfoundland to go to Memorial University to pursue my BSc in Biology. I got married a year later to my high school sweetheart Neale Rees. We studied, worked and had a blast. What a great school and the people are amazing there! We then moved just outside of Boston, MA after graduation and started working and enjoying all this city has to offer. I even went back to school to discover my real passion- food! Even though I have developed a taste for fine cuisine- wnenever I come home I NEED to get a donair panzerotti (sp?) and poutine! I attended the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts (Cambridge, MA) and became a private chef. I get to work for the rich but not so famous:)   My mother died during my course of study and that was difficult to say the least as she was such a wonderful friend and sweet mother. I was so fortunate that she got to see me living my dream and in part, her's as well. I wanted to say thank you to all who gave such compassion at that time and seeing all your faces at the funeral still comfort and touch me to this day.  Neale and I did separate and divorce a couple years ago and I have been enjoying the single life here which has been such an adventure! Information that I would like to share-  after grad. went to holland for a year with the rotary club exchange program, then to mt. allison university but only completed 2 years of my degree.  decided to make a change and left university to go to the culinary institute of canada.  graduated as a chef in 1998 and travelled around cooking, moved to st john's, newfoundland in 2000 and lived there for two 1/2 years.  started working for holland america cruise lines in late 2002 and have been working for them since.  currently am the culinary operations manager in charge of the culinary dept. on a 1500 passenger cruise ship.  my work takes me all over, and do a lot of travelling.  i usually work for 5 month contracts and then have an average of 2 months vacation.  travel a lot also when i am not working and for the rest of the time i am usually home in yarmouth.  going back to school in the fall for two years to the culinary institute in charlottetown to take my degree in culinary operations.

Information that I would like to share-  Since High School, I moved to Halifax and completed my Bach of Commerce at Saint Mary's University in 1997.  From there I worked a couple different jobs before going to the NS Safety Coucil.  I worked there for 4 years as an Administrative Assistant, then went to Stewart McKelvey Stirling Scales and worked as a Human Resources Assistant for a year and a half.  I left there to move to Bangor, Maine with my husband Tommy, whom I married in October of 2003 in Jamaica.  We only stayed for about a year in the US.  Did a lot of traveling while we were there (saw Jane (Cunningham) Rees a couple times). When we moved back I went to work at Teletech as an HR Assistant/Site Administrator, and now my husband and I live in Dartmouth with and our son Peyton who was born August 16, 2005.  Life is great!!

Favorite memory of high school-  Hanging out at the radiator in the main lobby with the gang - guess it was the cool thing to do!  Playing midnight pickup hockey Friday nights at the old Yarmouth rink... it's wonder any of us survived it. Kathleen Murphy's winter carnival speech - probably the funnist moment of my school experiences. Mr. Egan's English classes in Grade 10 and 12 (Drama) - still to this day the best teacher I ever had. Only George believed and proved that a Grade 12 class could find interest in Conrad's Heart of Darkness.

Information that I would like to share-  Yes, through upgrading, I did eventually graduate in 1998, after 2 of my 3 children were born.   In 2000 i took a human services course at Burridge.  I married Cliffy Sisco in 2000 and the last of my 3 children was born a year later in 2001.   I absolutely love my life!  it totally took me until my late 20's early 30's to appreciate how short and precious life really is. In January 2005, my 2 oldest children lost their father very unexpectedly; this was truly an awakening experience for me, not having ever experiencing death of a person so close to me before. (We had been separated and i was married to cliffy at the time, but we were still great friends).  Any way I guess what i am saying is never take anyone for granted and never live with regrets, life is to beautiful and much too short.

Information that I would like to share-  It doesn't seem possible how long ago high school was.  I loved learning but I hated school ;).  You couldn't pay me enough to go back.  I was so grateful when I was able to graduate.  Life itself is the greatest teacher.

After nearly 3 years of dating, I got married in 2000 to Mark Veinot.  We have two beautiful, brilliant children, Ethan (2002) and Shaylee (2004).  I stay at home to care for them and we will be homeschooling.  Being a mom is the best "job" I ever had :)

On a personal level, I am still contemplating writing that great novel one of these days.

Information that I would like to share-  Upon graduating high school, I completed one year of a BCS in Agriculture at NSAC.  Undecided on a major, I opted to take a year off and do some travelling so I participated in an agriculture exchange to Australia.  While working, I met a fine young bloke and we dated for the remainder of my stay.  A few months after returning to Canada, he came over and "popped" the question, we were married 3 weeks later.(7/7/95)  Our eldest child Jacob(31/08/98) has been to Canada four times.  Our eldest daughter, Alex(20/03/00) has visited Canada three times and Astrid(15/07/05) celebrated her first birthday in Yarmouth in July 2006.
My husbad Dean and I milk 170 dairy cows on a property in rural Australia.  We occasionally see the odd Kangaroo in the paddock.  We also have a resident Koala in the gum tree down at the dairy and just the other day I was very unfortunate to see three red belly black snakes on the road while driving.   This past August, it snowed here for the first time in over 100 years.  The kids were excited to put it mildly!  Made me a bit homesick, so if anyone is also living here and would like to catch up, just give me ring!  Or if you are planning a trip "downunder", why not drop in for a cuppa!

Information that I would like to share-  Nice to see some familar names of people already on the site. After graduating with a BA in English and a music minor from St F/X University where I met my husband Jim from Cape Breton, we moved to New Glasgow, N.S.. July of last year we moved to Ontario where my husband is working as a functional analyist for a company called Atlas Tubes. Our two boys, C.J. age 8 and Joshua age 4 are settling in nicely as they both are in school, at least part time (Josh). I having fun meeting new people and teaching kids and adults piano and sharing my love of music. I haven't sung a whole lot since University because of throat problems but I'm hopeful it will get better soon. I'd like to apologize for not keeping in contact with "The Gang" because, I'm very scaterbrained (sp?) and, well, you guys already know that!! Being that my husband is a computer geek, I am now equiped with e-mail and it's my own so he can't hog it, so, feel free to bombbard me with all kinds of letters!!!
