The following Scholarships are available for the month of August: (in order by date)
Scholarship Name: Sammy Gehue Scholarship
Due Date: Wednesday, August 9th, 2006
For Who?: Available to Mi'kmaw with a Band Number living on a reserve in Nova Scotia. Must be graduating from Grade 12 and continuing on to further studies in September. Must be a positive role model.
Amount: $750
Details: Must submit a transcript on due date of scholarship.
How to apply: Download form here or forms available in Guidance Office. You need to include an essay explaining why you are deserving of the Sammy Gehue Grade 12 Graduate Scholarship, including any extracurricular activities you may be involved in; volunteer work, both in school and community. Include any obstacles you may have faced in achievin your success of graduating grade 12. You Must submit a transcript on due date of scholarship and a letter of acceptance from the post secondary institution you are planning on attending. Mail completed application to: Marlene A.
