The following Scholarships are available for students that are entering into social work: (in order by date)
Scholarship Name: Michael J. Kendrick Memorial Bursary
Due Date: Monday, May 24, 2006
For Who?: Deserving students who are planning to enter the field of social work or a helping profession (nurse, doctor, teacher, etc.) in September.
Amount: Approx. $500 each -as many as 3 awards
Details: Family and Children's Services of Yarmouth County offers this award and makes their decision based on applications they receive prior to graduation.
How to apply: You need:
1) A copy of first quarter grade 12 marks
2) 3 references
3) A letter indicating your future plans and your financial needs

A committee of board of directors will review the applications and render a decision prior to the Grade 12 graduation ceremonies.
